An investigator with the Fort Bend County Prosecutors Office is under arrest in Matagorda County for sexual misconduct with a young girl.
NEWS 92 FM’s Steve Ottesen reports the two are related:
The accusations go back more than a decade to when the relative was 11-years-old and Larry Linley had just started working as an investigator with the Fort Bend County Prosecutors Office.
The victim is now 22, and claims Linley sexually assaulted her four times when she was in fifth and sixth grade, even videotaping some of the encounters that reportedly took place in Matagorda County.
She told her mother about the assaults with Linley earlier this year, and Matagorda investigators more recently.
After arresting Linley, they charged him with four counts of sexual assault of a child.
The Fort Bend County District Attorney has placed Linley on paid administrative leave.
The DA told Channel 13 they have no reason to believe the allegations have affected any cases he has worked.
