Hall of Fame basketball star Cynthia Cooper-Dyke is slated to become the next head coach of the Texas Southern women’s basketball program.
“Cynthia Cooper-Dyke is the sole finalist for our women’s basketball position and she will be our next head coach pending final approval,” TSU AD Dr. Charles McClelland said in a statement.
Cooper-Dyke was in her second season at University of North Carolina Wilmington with a record of 20-13 (11-7 conference). She was named Colonial Athletic Association Coach of the Year in her first season (2010-2011).
